[ THE PROBLEM ]

Hermes Agent is an open-source agent that remembers what it learns, and Hermes Cloud runs it for you, always on. That puts a lot behind one Nous account: agents to deploy and look after, credits and subscriptions, API keys, and pricing across hundreds of models and hosted tools. Leigh Taylor had set the Nous visual language and the initial Portal concept, and I designed the product from there. The brief was an admin panel where each of those jobs is easy to find, without losing the brand.

[ GOAL ]

An admin panel for managing AI agents that is useful day to day and still carries a strong visual identity. For Nous, the brand is important.

[ SOLUTION ]

1. A strongly structured solution, with mind maps and user tests, in the Hermes aesthetic. 2. One sidebar in three groups, agents, account and resources, with the balance and its burn rate always in view. 3. A three-step deploy flow (instance, provision, messaging) that ends in Telegram or a web chat. 4. Mobile layouts for the agents list, the deploy checklist, usage and token pricing.

Nous Portal is live at portal.nousresearch.com as one account for Hermes Agent, the Inference API and Hermes Cloud. I designed its user experience, from usage and billing to a three-step agent deploy, and built the Nous design system from scratch.
